AREAS OF OVERSIGHT: Visual Design & Brand Strategy
As part of a purposeful team at ASG, an integrated marketing agency that powers progress for corporations, nonprofits, government agencies, and the communities they serve, the Graphic Designer is integral in bringing concepts to life across various print and digital platforms, balancing creative execution with consistency, clarity, and craft. The Graphic Designer has strong conceptual thinking and fluency in visual storytelling across print, digital, and emerging media. This position requires someone who can work independently, take initiative, and collaborate fluidly with other creatives thriving in collaborative, strategic environments and energized by projects that drive behavior change and create community impact.
- Develop visual assets based on established concepts and/or creative direction, translating creative briefs into compelling, high-quality designs that align with brand and project goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Team to execute campaign elements and other visual concepts that support brand storytelling across various platforms: print, digital, video, social, trade show/event environments, and web experiences.
- Work across formats, including digital ads, social media, infographics, reports, event materials, and presentations, ensuring a high standard of visual execution across all creative assets, maintaining brand consistency and excellence.
- Design of websites, microsites, and landing pages with an understanding of UI/UX best practices, collaborating with developers, UX writers where needed, and other vendors.
- Prepare design files for production or digital implementation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Contribute to creative brainstorms, mood boards, and internal design critiques.
- Take ownership of assigned projects with limited oversight, managing timelines and deliverables effectively.
- Integrate accessibility best practices (e.g., WCAG 2.1, Section 508) across deliverables to ensure inclusive and equitable communication when required.
- Integrate emerging media formats and technologies into design approaches to enhance audience engagement.
- Manage time and resources efficiently across multiple high-priority projects, ensuring accurate reporting on client accounts using company project management systems.
- Stay current on design trends, tools, and accessibility best practices.
- Attend all required staff meetings and cross collaboration meetings, including responding to TEAMs communication channels around creative needs and input.
Perform additional projects, initiatives, duties, responsibilities while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability, for the overall success of the organization as directed by the Creative Director or the Creative Services Manager and/or their designee(s).
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field from an accredited college/university.
- Minimum of three years of professional design experience within an agency, brand, or marketing team setting, including presenting and pitching creative strategies to clients.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver successful creative solutions across diverse and accessible formats, including print, digital, video, environmental design (e.g., trade shows, events), and UI/UX.
- Proven expertise in developing integrated design experiences across brand, digital, advertising, and event platforms.
- Intermediate conceptual thinking with a track record of crafting compelling visual narratives that align with strategic goals and engage target audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD), Figma or Sketch, and other relevant platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, illustration, and image editing across multiple media types.
- Solid understanding of UX/UI best practices for responsive web and mobile design.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and rationale to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated cultural competence with a nuanced understanding of diverse audiences and communities.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese preferred, not required.
- Reliable internet access and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends, during project peaks.

- Base Salary: Salary range for this position is commensurate with experience. ($68,000-$75,000)
