Job Summary
The Global Payroll and Benefits Manager will oversee the administration of payroll processes and benefits programs across our international regions. This role will primarily focus on collaborating with our outsourced payroll partner to ensure effective communication and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The successful candidate will support the implementation of our outsourced payroll partner and work closely with our benefit brokers in our international regions to design benefits strategies compliant with local regulations while attracting and retaining top talent and aligning with the company’s strategic objectives. Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) and WFM (Workforce Management), as well as time and attendance, is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaboration with Outsourced Payroll Partner
•Serve as the primary liaison with the outsourced payroll vendor to ensure seamless communication and accurate payroll processing.
•Support the implementation of the outsourced payroll solution, ensuring that all processes are integrated smoothly and effectively across the organization.
•Monitor the performance of the payroll partner to ensure compliance with service-level agreements and regulatory requirements.
•Facilitate regular meetings with the payroll partner to address issues, review processes, and ensure alignment with company policies.
1. Global Payroll Oversight
•Understanding of Payroll requirements in UAE, UK, China, Saudi Arabia, and other locations as necessary.
•Ensure the outsourced payroll processes are executed accurately and on time, including salary, bonuses, and deductions.
•Review and validate payroll reports provided by the vendor for accuracy and compliance.
•Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
1. Benefits Administration
•Work with local brokers to Design, implement and manage comprehensive global benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks that comply with local requirements.
•Understand benefit requirements in UAE, UK, China, Saudi Arabia, and other locations as necessary.
•Ensure benefits programs comply with local legislation and regulations, including taxation and reporting requirements.
•Conduct regular market research to benchmark benefits offerings and recommend adjustments to remain competitive in attracting and retaining talent.
1. Compliance and Risk Management
•Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements across various jurisdictions.
•Work with outsourced payroll provider to ensure that necessary payroll tax filings, reports, and audits to federal, state, and local authorities are timely and accurate.
•Identify potential risks related to payroll and benefits and implement mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
1. Data Analysis and Reporting
•Develop and maintain payroll and benefits metrics to assess effectiveness, efficiency, and employee satisfaction.
•Generate regular reports for senior management on payroll expenses, benefits utilization, and compliance status, providing insights for decision-making.
•Utilize data analytics to drive continuous improvement in payroll and benefits processes.
1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal departments to ensure alignment of payroll and benefits strategies with overall organizational goals.
•Provide expert guidance and support to HR teams and management on payroll and benefits-related inquiries and issues.
•Participate in global HR initiatives, contributing payroll and benefits expertise to support organizational change and growth.
1. Employee Engagement and Communication
•Develop and implement communication strategies to educate employees about payroll processes and benefits offerings.
•Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
•Foster a culture of transparency and trust by maintaining open lines of communication regarding payroll and benefits matters.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
•Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll and benefits management, focusing on global operations in a multinational organization.
•Proven experience working with outsourced payroll partners, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
•Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) is a plus.
•Strong knowledge of global payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
•Proficient in payroll software and HRIS systems, with the ability to leverage technology to improve processes.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
