About This Job
Job Summary
As a Fuel Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling and dispatching of fuel deliveries, optimizing delivery routes, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your role will directly impact the efficiency of our fleet operations, and you'll play an essential part in ensuring timely and accurate fuel delivery to our valued customers.
Duties:
•
Dispatch & Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and dispatch fuel deliveries to clients, ensuring all deliveries are made within the required timeframes.
•
Route Optimization: Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
•
Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and inquiries.
•
Real-Time Monitoring: Use tracking systems to monitor deliveries and provide real-time updates to both drivers and customers.
•
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all deliveries comply with relevant safety standards, DOT regulations, and company policies.
•
Problem Solving: Quickly and effectively resolve issues related to delays, missed deliveries, or customer concerns.
•
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of fuel deliveries, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications
•
Fuel Dispatch experience required
•
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field preferred.
•
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in fuel dispatching
•
Proficient in dispatch software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
•
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
•
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols related to fuel transportation
