Foundry Worker

We are hiring for full-time Foundry Workers!

Wear-Tek is a steel foundry and machine facility located in Spokane, WA. We are currently looking for full time, long term employees to work in our foundry. Our foundry manufactures high integrity High Chrome White Iron and Steel castings, specializing in wear and heat resistant components for the aggregate, power, agriculture and other miscellaneous industries.

PAY AND BENEFITS

- $21.00 - $29.00.

- Monthly profit sharing bonus after 90 days.

LIST OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Using a variety of grinders to remove excess material from steel and iron castings

- Making silica sand molds and cores

- Melting and pouring molten steel into molds

- Operating lift trucks, overhead jibs, and cranes

- The entry level employee will have a variety of duties that require the use of heavy lifting, learning to use machines, power tools, and forklifts as needed

- Applicants must be able to listen and communicate well, learn new jobs quickly, and work cooperatively with other members of the team

SCHEDULE

- Full time 10 hour shifts, Mon-Thurs with some Fridays

- OT available

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Regular attendance is required as a condition of employment in this position.

- Must be able to listen and communicate well, learn new jobs quickly, and work cooperatively with other members of the team.

- Must be available for scheduled overtime shifts.

- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in both hot and cold environments.

- Ability to climb ladders, walk up and down steps and work at heights.

- Ability to wear a respirator or self-contained breathing apparatus. Candidate must pass pre-employment respirator medical questionnaire.

- Must be willing to be part of a harassment-free work environment.

- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.

EDUCATION AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

- Production and manufacturing experience preferred

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
