Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Manager to lead our equipment maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, self-motivation and a passion for delivering exceptional service to our field employees. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, parts procurement, and ensuring a positive shop experience for our mechanics & field employees. This role requires a blend of equipment maintenance expertise and the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Responsibilities
•Oversee daily shop operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
•Drive repairs & maintenance of equipment and vehicles through effective leadership and preparedness.
•Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking of parts, fluids and fuel.
•Monitor equipment usage rates & maintenance schedules to coordinate timing of scheduled maintenance.
•Maintain high standards of parts room presentation and cleanliness.
•Analyze equipment and field supplies usage to maintain the appropriate levels of inventory.
•Record usage and cost analysis data in Eptura program for all company vehicles and heavy equipment.
Qualifications
•Proven experience in shop management roles.
•Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles and heavy equipment.
•Strong computer skills in Office programs.
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team and engage vendors to provide the best pricing.
•Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing shop operations.
•Ability to adapt to changing field conditions and employee needs.
