McVay Oil Field Services is seeking an experienced
Financial Controller with an energy backgroundto oversee all financial operations and provide strategic guidance. This role requires strong accounting expertise, regulatory compliance knowledge, and the ability to deliver accurate reporting in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
- Ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute effective cash management strategies.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for leadership decision-making.
- Lead payroll processing in compliance with applicable laws.
- Collaborate with external auditors and provide required documentation.
- Utilize financial systems and software (QuickBooks experience required).- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience (corporate or public accounting preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles; governmental accounting experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Skilled in general ledger reconciliation, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial analysis.
- Advanced technical skills in accounting software; QuickBooks required.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to stakeholders.
