Financial Controller

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization’s growth. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software.

Duties

- Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.

- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.

- Develop and manage budgets, forecasting future financial performance based on historical data and market trends.

- Conduct account reconciliations and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.

- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to streamline financial processes.

- Ensure timely completion of month-end close processes and reporting requirements.

- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support operational decision-making.

- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding financial reporting.

Skills

- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero is essential.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

- Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, account reconciliation, and account analysis.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
