Power Electronics is looking to hire a Financial Controller to lead the finance department of our US subsidiary. This key position combines controlling, internal control, and financial management functions with the aim of ensuring transparency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in all operations. You will work directly with the Finance Director and the CFO, providing critical analysis, overseeing processes, and ensuring the proper implementation of internal controls.
- Coordinate the monthly and annual accounting close, ensuring the reliability of financial information.
- Monitor the subsidiary's financial reporting: track KPIs, analyze deviations, and prepare management reports.
- Implement and review internal controls to mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Conduct regular internal reviews, identifying areas for improvement, implementing controls and procedures, and ensuring the application of corporate policies.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and medium/long-term financial plans.
- Hold control and monitoring meetings with the various area managers to identify budget deviations and propose action plans.
- Supervise the correct application of tax, accounting, and legal regulations in the US.
- Contact local tax advisors and auditors to coordinate tax filings, manage requirements, and oversee external audits of the subsidiary.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in financial and administrative processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency and traceability of information.
- Ensure the implementation in the US of projects and procedures initiated by headquarters.
- Control and supervision of all subsidiary costs.
- Local assistance for any needs arising from central services: Accounting, accounts payable, treasury, billing, AR, and management control.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in controlling, internal auditing, or finance management roles, preferably in international environments.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting (US GAAP desirable) and tax regulations in the US.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP (SAP highly valued).
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, and strategic vision.
