We are seeking a proactive and versatile

Field Technician (Sr)

to join our P66 midstream team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting various duties within booster stations, large valve manifold area and along pipeline rows. This role requires a self-starter with the ability to work independently in remote locations while also collaborating effectively within a broader operational team. This position supports the Southeast Texas region (with offices in Beaumont and Winnie, TX areas).

- Conducts routine inspection of equipment and facilities, (equipment health, security, AVO- Audio, Visual, Olfactory)

- Conducts pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc.

- Responsible for Startup, Shutdown, and operation of gas compression equipment

- Maintains pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, and vegetation, pipeline exposures in accordance with applicable regulatory compliance guidelines

- Responds to One-call tickets, marking buried utilities/pipelines

- Performs PM work on natural gas engines and compressors

- Performs light maintenance (work that can be done without a crane body truck) on natural gas engines and compressors. May include changing compressor valves, auxiliary equipment, filters, etc.

- Performs maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valve actuators, etc.

- Conducts routine inspection, calibration and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter, flow computer)

- Able to respond to call outs and troubleshoot and repair equipment inside booster stations and pipeline facilities

- Conducts routine inspection, calibration, and repair of end devices such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, etc.

- Always prioritizes personal safety and the safety of others

- Capable of prioritizing work based on operational and company needs

- Maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices

- Performs and accurately documents regulatory required inspections

- Performs shut-ins, blowdowns, and LTT or LOTO of complex natural gas gathering pipelines and facilities

- May oversee contractors providing specialty services

- Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization


What You’ll Bring - Required

- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent

- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

- Must live/relocate within 45 miles of reporting location

- 5 or more years of oil and gas operations and or/field experience

- Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

- To frequently lift and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds

- To push/pull forces up to 130 pounds

- To regularly walk, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch for durations of up to 30 minutes

- To climb various stairs and ladders

- To work extended hours which may include evenings, weekends and holidays and be available for on call or callout situations

- To work either inside or outside in conditions that may include heat, humidity, or other inclement weather

- To safely work around various types of rotating or moving equipment

- To wear personal protective equipment, such as flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc.

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

- 10 or more years of oil and gas operations experience

- 1 year or more work experience as field technician or field operator in the G&P natural gas space

- 3 or more years of experience with conducting routine inspection, calibration and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter, flow computer)

- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and IOS based applications

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $93,600 – $132,000.

Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
