- Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner.
- Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.
- Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system.
- Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
- Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Microsoft Office knowledge is required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints required.
- Mechanical / Welding experience 2 years required, 3-5 years preferred).
- Hydraulic / Pneumatic troubleshooting experience 2 years required, 3-5 years preferred).
- Basic electronics knowledge required.
- Knowledge of oil and gas field components preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Must be able to pass DOT driving background check and physical – must be capable of achieving NOV driver status for vehicles over 10,001 lbs.
- Must be able to pass “SMAW, 3G and 4G weld test prior to employment
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (2-3 weeks)
- On-call as needed.
- Employee provides basic tools.
- Work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 100 feet.
- Work in limited spaces.
- Requires standing 95% of the workday.
- Must be able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects and tools.
