We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Field Engineer or Construction Foreman to support our construction and operational activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring installations are designed, built, and maintained in full compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. The ideal candidate is hands‑on in the field, strong in documentation, and comfortable collaborating with both construction teams and operations personnel.
· Travel Requirements: Day Trips and limited overnight travel
- Conduct on‑site inspections of equipment, systems, and infrastructure during installation.
- Verify that construction activities align with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Monitor contractor work for safety, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
- Document deviations, non‑conformances, and punch‑list items; follow up on corrective actions.
- Support field testing and commissioning activities, including reviewing test plans and witnessing tests.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and contractors to resolve design or installation issues.
- Perform periodic field inspections and audits of operational facilities to ensure continued compliance.
- Identify equipment or systems that require maintenance, repair, or redesign.
- Monitor performance of installed systems and verify that operating conditions remain within design parameters.
- Support incident investigations and root‑cause analyses related to equipment or installation issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of field conditions, inspection results, and compliance findings.- The role will be based in Midland, TX. And the successful candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to the Midland area. fly in-fly out will not be considered.
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) or equivalent technical experience.
· 3+ years of field engineering, construction oversight, or operations support preferred.
· Strong understanding of applicable industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with contractors, engineers, and operations teams.
· Strong problem‑solving skills and a detail‑oriented mindset.
· Willingness to work in field environments and travel to job sites as required.
· Working knowledge of upstream or midstream oil and gas operations
· Working Knowledge of SWD’s and water gathering system operations
· Working Knowledge of Automation systems pertinent to water treatment systems
