Here's The Role
Do you have a passion for craftsmanship and hands-on projects? If so, we are seeking a Facility Construction Technician to join our Facilities team! You will collaborate with building maintenance, facility electricians, HVAC technicians, and the light construction crew to support LCRA sites. This is a mission critical position that supports installing, maintaining, and replacing structural and finish components. Join our top-tier facility team to execute critical construction and repair projects to deliver essential infrastructure improvements for our tenants and facilities!
How You’ll Contribute
- Complete construction and repair projects that support tenant needs and facility operations.
- Install, maintain, and replace structural and finish components (doors, cabinets, ceilings, roofing, etc.).
- Analyze blueprints and technical specifications to guide construction activities.
- Maintain clean, safe job sites while adhering to industry regulations and best practices.
- Manage inventory, order materials, and maintain detailed records for accuracy and accountability.
- Two or more years of experience in general construction, painting, drywall, framing , carpentry or other relevant experience.
- Driver's license
- Knowledge of facility compliance by adhering to OSHA, NEC, and NFPA safety standards.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in construction, carpentry, drywall, or painting.- Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and door hardware systems.
- Experience in mentoring junior technicians, effective communication and elevating team expertise.
