You’re in the right place! We are looking for two Energy Efficiency Interns to join our team at Energy 350 for a summer internship.
- Location: Our office is in Portland, OR. This is a hybrid position that requires a mix of office time and field time working directly with industrial sites.
- Travel: Day travel to customer sites throughout Oregon approximately 20% of the time.
- Pay: $30/hr
- Benefits: Free coffee, snacks, and Friday catered lunch; twice-weekly fitness classes on-site; free parking and transit passes
- Schedule: Full-Time; 40 hours per week; Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with some flexibility on start and end times.
- Duration: Approximately June – August with an option to extend to a maximum of 6 months total based on your availability.

Position Overview: As an Energy Efficiency intern, you will be supporting our Energy Trust of Oregon Industry and Agriculture contract. This will include supporting outreach efforts to encourage participation in energy efficiency programs, supporting the engineering team with hands-on and Excel-based tasks, and supporting internal operations initiatives. The Energy Efficiency Intern will need to be detail-oriented, organized, and have great communication skills.
- Professionally communicating with our client, customers, Account Managers, and Engineering team via phone, email, and in-person.
- Analyzing data in Excel to uncover trends; using Excel-based tools to analyze energy consumption of mechanical systems.
- Supporting Engineers and energy efficiency program staff with energy projects and improving workflows.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: We are looking for a collaborative and organized candidate with a wide range of skills including excellent communication, emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and an interest in learning more about the energy efficiency field.
Ideal candidates will additionally have the following skills and experience:
- High school degree required, some secondary education in Engineering or similar preferred
- Experience (school or professional) with building science, industrial mechanical systems, or energy efficiency preferred.
- Previous experience, proficiency, and interest in data analysis in Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
