JOB SUMMARY:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining current customer satisfaction with service and sales, and generating new sales/business, in conjunction with outside sales through sales initiatives and goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Achieve monthly and yearly profitability and sales goals and continue to grow sales volume.
•Work with the Sales Team to achieve sales goals and maximize team performance.
•Interact with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
•Process product quotations/proposals and provide continuous follow-up throughout the completion of the customers purchasing cycle.
•Write orders with accuracy and in accordance with all sales policies and procedures.
•Provide product information, specifications, pricing, delivery, expediting, returns, credits and support to customers.
•Research and provide substitute products where appropriate.
•Consistently communicate with support staff (outside sales, purchasing, warehouse) to maximize customer service.
•Establish, develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, prospective customers and co-workers.
•Maximize the size and profitability of orders, and maintain awareness of the market, competition, and economic conditions that may affect sales of company products.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support all marketing initiatives including customer events and product promotions.
•Understand and ensure continuous improvement and promotion of Gross’s customer service and value-added benefits.
•Project a positive and professional image of the company to customers, vendors and co-workers.
•Follow all policies and procedures.
•Participate in relevant training to keep current with opportunities to grow and excel within the role.
•Maintain superior product knowledge through self-study, online courses and vendor training, keep current with industry trends.
•Work respectfully with the Gross Electric team in a positive environment.
•All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor’s degree in business, sales preferred,
•OR High school diploma /GED with a minimum of five (5) years’ sales experience.
•Previous sales experience required.
•Experience in the electrical supply business or extensive electrical supply knowledge is required.
