- Manage all commercial aspects related to the Company’s distribution network across the United States and Canada.
- Lead commercial activities with multiple direct accounts primarily in Paints & Coatings.
- Manage complete commercial relationships and interactions with ten (10) existing distributors in the US & Canada.
- Manage existing direct accounts identifying and capturing growth opportunities.
- Evaluate distributor performance, target closure rates, sales growth and pricing
- Arrange and conduct monthly distributor pipeline calls/meetings reviewing lead-times, targets, sales volumes/variances, competition, etc.
- Conduct regular training on existing and new products, maintaining and distributing up-to-date brochures, and introducing new products.
- Work closely with Sales Director, Commercial and Technical teams.
- Protect and grow distributor business by identifying potential competitive threats and growing opportunities with value-added products.
- Visit Magris plants on a regular basis.
- Responsible for maintaining safe environment and acting safely at all times.
- Delivery of the annual distributor sales budget.
- Negotiate all distributor contracts.
- Maintain distributor and customer relationships.
- Responsible for implementing annual price adjustments.
- Manage special pricing requests and rebates.
- Attend multiple trade shows throughout the year.
- Travel up to 40%.
- Deliver annual “Territory” sales revenue budget.
- Deliver annual “Territory’ cost budget covering (home) office, administration and travel costs.
- Position requires up to 40% travel
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related fields.
- Commercial qualifications (relevant job experience in selling, negotiations, and management of customer revenue) in order to meet all requirements of sales process including: planning and budgeting, marketing, legal and commercial issues, agreeing contracts, tax and duty, ability to pick up and use competitive intelligence, knowledge of relevant legislation for environment and safety etc.
- 10+ years commercial negotiation experience.- Experience in using basic technical/engineering/chemical/financial knowledge to be able to understand customer processes, behavior, costs, products/markets and discuss value in use matters.
- Product knowledge including basic knowledge of industrial minerals.
- Ability to think creatively and recognize solutions and opportunities.
- Project management capabilities and ability to drive strategic or technical projects within Magris and with customers/distributors.
- Ability to make recommendation for talc as a substitute to other industrial minerals.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to engage confidently at all levels, covering various disciplines both at customer, distributor and Magris levels.
- Basic IT skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Demonstrated poise and ease when interacting with all levels of the organization.
