Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and machinery, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
•
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including troubleshooting mechanical issues.
•
Perform routine maintenance on diesel vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
•
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs effectively.
•
Work with hydraulics and HVAC systems as needed to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
•
Conduct inspections of farm machinery and other diesel-powered equipment to identify potential issues.
•
Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
•
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Experience
•
Proven mechanical knowledge with a focus on diesel engines is essential.
•
Experience working with farm machinery and hydraulics is preferred.
•
Familiarity with dealership environments is a plus.
•
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment is required.
•
A strong understanding of HVAC systems will be beneficial for this role.
•
Previous experience in a similar position or relevant vocational training will be considered an asset.
