Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with welding and small engine repair experience to join our team. Class A CDL license a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing diesel and gas engines. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet.
Responsibilities
•Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel and gas engines, including tractor-trailers.
•Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
•Repair or replace defective parts such as shocks, struts, and other suspension components.
•Conduct equipment repairs and ensure all work meets safety standards.
•Utilize power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
•Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
•Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
•Assist with heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
•Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for mechanical repairs.
•Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including troubleshooting techniques.
•Experience with suspension systems, specifically shocks and struts.
•Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during equipment repairs.
•Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
•Familiarity with soldering techniques for electrical repairs is a plus.
•Previous experience as a service technician is preferred but not mandatory.
