Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with hands-on experience working with various types of industrial equipment and semi trucks. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all diesel-powered vehicles and equipment operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
•Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of diesel engines and related systems.
•Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire service.
•Repair and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary.
•Troubleshoot air brake systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
•Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles and equipment.
•Collaborate with service technicians to address complex mechanical issues effectively.
•Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
•Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
•Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs.
•Familiarity with Caterpillar engines and other diesel engine brands is a plus.
•Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance practices is highly desirable.
•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
•A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are advantageous.
