About This Job

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with hands-on experience working with various types of industrial equipment and semi trucks. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all diesel-powered vehicles and equipment operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

•

Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of diesel engines and related systems.

•

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire service.

•

Repair and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary.

•

Troubleshoot air brake systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.

•

Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles and equipment.

•

Collaborate with service technicians to address complex mechanical issues effectively.

•

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Experience

•

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.

•

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs.

•

Familiarity with Caterpillar engines and other diesel engine brands is a plus.

•

Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance practices is highly desirable.

•

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

•

A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are advantageous.
