SUMMARY
CTI Ready Mix, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic that will service our concrete plants and mixer trucks. The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse line of concrete construction equipment and motor vehicles. This Diesel Mechanic will be familiar with general repairs, hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting, and capable of performing a variety of skilled duties. Responsibilities will involve inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs on trucks and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Maintain and repair concrete mixer trucks, including annual inspections.
•Support operations to ensure crew is operating safely, efficiently and effectively, and with outstanding quality, while maintaining the shop to CTI cleanliness standards.
•Process respective administrative duties in a timely manner.
•Respond to all truck issues and concerns at various concrete plants and job sites.
•Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and using excellent safety practices while visiting job sites, per CTI policies and OSHA, Federal, and State laws and regulations.
•Work with team, clients/owners, and inspectors in a professional and friendly manner and relay a positive attitude toward coworkers, vendors, and clients.
•Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, and streamline work processes. Be proactive with maintenance and repairs. Troubleshoot and minimize downtime.
•Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•3+ years of diesel mechanic repairs experience.
•High School diploma or equivalent required.
•Two years technical school or higher education preferred.
•Valid Class B CDL or be willing and able to obtain.
•Insurable Motor Vehicle Record
•Pass a post conditional offer of employment DOT drug screen and physical.
•Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
•Proficient computer skills.
•Able to diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical and hydraulic components on commercial motor vehicles.
•Able to maintain a high level of work quality.
•Excellent time management skills. Work well under time constraints and respond positively to change.
•Professional, friendly, possesses a positive attitude, self-motivated, and proactive.
