POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to perform diagnostic tests and complete repairs on diesel vehicles and machinery. The right person for this position will be mechanically inclined and able to disassemble and reassemble engines and other components in various environments. ESSENTIAL
· Perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles and machinery to identify mechanical issues
· Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, fuel systems, electrical systems and other components
· Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such oil changes, filter replacements and tire rotations
· Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed
· Hold and maintain a valid CDL license a plus
· Hold and maintain a clean driving record
· Must have at least two years of experience in diesel and hydraulic system maintenance and repair
· Must have flexibility to work various schedules
· Must have ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Must have extensive knowledge of shop equipment
· Must Possess strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
· Must have ability to distinguish safety colors
· Ability to withstand prolonged and repeated lifting (including overhead up to 50lbs), climbing, kneeling, reaching, and crawling
· Ability to stand or sit for long periods
· Must possess quick and accurate hand-eye coordination
