Design Engineer II

What You’ll Do:

- Applies technical knowledge to designs and ensures projects meet specifications

- Communicates challenges about scope, cost, schedule and quality

- Works with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages

- Gains an understanding of CAD programs and the software analysis tools utilized in engineering design

- Supports the preparation of simple to moderately complex designs or small portions of larger projects, including calculations and drawings

- Leads the development of their discipline's design on simple projects, and supports complex projects, including simple to moderately difficult technical analyses

- Interacts with clients on a limited basis

- Understands and applies appropriate industry codes, standards, and regulations

- Conducts communications in a professional and clear manner; communications are timely and in an appropriate format for the topic.

- Identifies information to be communicated to the client and project stakeholders through team leads and project managers.

- Self-checks work assignments prior to submitting for review, completes work with minimal errors. Participates in peer reviews and QC reviews.

- Performs all other related duties, including fielding, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering at ABET accredited university

- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in consulting or related field
