Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Demand Planner to join our growing Supply Chain team. The Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting product demand, developing data-driven projections, and partnering cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and inventory teams to support optimized production and inventory planning. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the availability of sustainable chemistry products and solutions that align with customer needs and Flotek’s ESG-driven mission. This position reports to the Sr. Supply Chain Manager and is based in Houston, TX.


Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sr. Supply Chain Manager, the Demand Planner will have direct responsibility for the following:

Develop and maintain short- and long-term demand forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, customer activity, and sales inputs.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to align demand plans with inventory and production goals
Participate in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, contributing data and insights to help drive alignment across functions
Partner closely with Staging Yards to monitor inventory levels, ensure optimal stock availability, and minimize excess or obsolete inventory
Identify and resolve inventory imbalances, including slow-moving or at-risk items, through forecast adjustments and collaboration with key stakeholders
Identify demand variances and recommend actions to address gaps between forecasts and actuals
Monitor product lifecycle changes, new product introductions, and customer transitions to refine forecast models
Maintain demand planning tools and systems, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
Provide demand visibility through reporting, dashboarding, and trend analysis for internal stakeholders
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support supply chain optimization, cost efficiency, and sustainability objectives


Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related supply chain function; experience in the energy, chemicals, or manufacturing industries preferred
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with proficiency in Excel
Experience with MRP and data visualization tools is a plus (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Knowledge of inventory compliance standards and industry regulations (e.g., SOX compliance, local procurement regulations).


Supervisory Responsibility



This position does not have supervisory responsibility.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on business needs.


Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional visits to warehouse or production facilities.


Travel


This position requires less than 10% travel.
