Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle transactions accurately will be key to your success in this position.

Duties

Operate the cash register and process customer transactions efficiently using POS systems.

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly manner.

Utilize retail math skills to accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.

•

Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the shopping experience.

•

Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and throughout the store.

•

Assist customers with inquiries about products, promotions, and store policies.

•

Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.

•

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Requirements

•

Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.

•

Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.

•

Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.

•

Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is a plus.

•

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

•

A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
