Duties & Responsibilities
•Collaborate with site equipment trainers to assess and address individual trainee needs.
•Works with site equipment trainers to train all new employees and transfers (cross transfer) to assess individual trainee training needs.
•Make recommendations on training completion, role transitions, or terminations in consultation with Plant, Maintenance, Warehouse, Operations Management, and Human Resources.
•Identify and schedule training to meet immediate and long-term manpower needs.
•Work with department management to spot training and transfer opportunities.
•Coordinates with HR and Dept Heads to ensure the postingpromotion process is followed
•Monitor and evaluate the performance of equipment trainers and seek ongoing improvements in training effectiveness.
•Maintain up-to-date training records and qualifications.
•Conduct and document weekly new employee and contractor orientations.
•Work with the Training Coordinator to evaluate and enhance training materials and methodologies.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
•Site equipment operation knowledge.
•Previous heavy equipment training experience a strong asset
•Comfortable with resolving Trainer and Trainee behavioral issues.
•Able to identify and correct instructional Trainer errors.
•Familiar with training techniques and strategies.
•Comfortable learning new training strategies including adult instructional techniques and learning theory and principles.
•Experience with Management of Change and Document Control
•Experience in an open-pit mining environment an asset.
•Maintain training equipment (laptops, projectors, printers) and manage in-house training facilities.
•Organize and implement training for non-equipment related areas (e.g., TDG, First Aid).
•Facilitate learning through various methods: classroom instruction, hands-on training, on-the-job coaching, and virtual training.
•Assist in developing training aids like manuals and handbooks.
Technical Competencies & Skills
•Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
•Excellent time management and project prioritization.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).
•Highly organized with attention to detail.
•Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
•Able to work independently with minimal supervision
•Builds strong internal relationships and adapts quickly to changes.
•Team player with conflict management, respect, and cultural awareness skills.
Wage and Benefits
Conuma Resources takes pride in providing industry-competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that truly values our employees. Specifically for the Training Coordinator role, we offer an annual base salary range of $96,000.00 - $120,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses include monthly efficiency bonuses linked to safety and production, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance bonus tailored to reward your contributions. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks.
