This specific listing is to advertise for a temporary role anticipated to run from late January through the end of April, with dates subject to change (and the possibility of prolonged employment). Candidates should expect the following:

- 12 hour shifts (Overtime)

TekSolv has openings for Confined Space Attendants / Fire Watch to support our industrial clients. Attendants will have the responsibility to monitor activities inside and outside of confined spaces or monitor personnel completing hot work to ensure all activities are completed safely. The attendant must be aware of all hazards in the space and surrounding area. In-person training is provided to all individuals before starting.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

· Learn to recognize hazards that may be faced during confined space entry, including information on the mode, signs or symptoms, and consequences of exposure.

· Continuously maintain an accurate count of entrants in the confined space.

· Communicate consistently with entrants to monitor status and to alert entrants of the need to evacuate the confined space.

· Operate equipment, such as portable monitors, when necessary, to sample air quality in the work area.

· Monitor workers completing hot work and, if needed, extinguish small fires.

· Protect personnel working under fresh air by monitoring the air quality and pressure being delivered to the workers.

· Act quickly to summon rescue and other emergency services as soon as it is determined that entrants may need assistance to escape from the confined space.

· Remain outside the confined space during confined space operations until relieved by another attendant.

Work Environment and Schedule

Schedules will vary depending on project needs. The following schedule details listed below are some of the potential shift requirements.

· In-person role - location will vary depending on the client’s site location

· Potential exposure to varying extreme climates and outside weather conditions (heat/cold, wet/humid).

· 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts

· Monday to Friday

Job Type and Compensation

· Part-time with the chance for full-time

· Starting from $20 per hour

Requirements

· Valid Driver's License

· Willingness to travel

· Ability to pass drug screening

· Clean criminal background

· TWIC Card - preferred
