Purchasing Office/Job Coordinator for a General Contractor (construction experience preferred)
This position requires someone who can multi-task in an extremely fast paced environment. Candidate must be willing to take charge of the projects and direct/support project managers to successfully complete projects on budget and in time.
Job duties:
•Source and buy materials, as required by project
•Order all materials for ongoing jobs
•Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
•Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
•Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
•Works directly with the Project Manager & Operations Manager
•Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports
•Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
•BuilderTrend experience is a plus
•SageCM experience is a plus
•Background with supply chain vendors is a plus
•Assist with answering incoming calls
•Acquire sub pricing for jobs
•Processing incoming emails
•Collect contractor pay requests
•Invoice coding for submission to accounting
•Assist with organizing and maintaining change orders and construction submittals
•Use on a daily basis specialized construction software
•Revision of subcontracts for all construction projects
•Entering purchase orders
Position Requirements
•3-5 years related work experience
•Computer proficient, including knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and QuickBooks. BuilderTrend & SageCM Exp. a plus
•All applicants must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Excellent presentation and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required.
•This position requires the ability to work under pressure, be self-directed with good business judgement and handle confidential information appropriately
•Fast paced environment, must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time
General knowledge of QuickBooks, general accounting, scheduling, admin support and Microsoft Office required. We are looking for someone who can easily multitask and gets things done TIMELY. Our office is located in North Houston.
