As the Construction Manager you will be responsible for overseeing a tank construction project in an active chemical manufacturing plant.

- Meet or exceed the company and customer safety standards.
- Read and fully understand engineering construction packages and other documents which describe the scope of work to be done.
- Review and comment on material take-offs and construction estimating.
- Follow up on ordered materials, field installation and redlines.
- Provides field support throughout the lifecycle of each project.
- Be the primary job contact for vendors/contractors providing services to the project.
- Monitor and manage job contractors to assure that they meet or exceed site safety standards.
- Support job contractors during mobilization, through the course of the construction, and through demobilization.
- Comply with and assure that construction work complies with all company and customer procedures, engineering and construction practices and other standards.
- Work closely with plant engineers, contractors, and team members to achieve project success.

- 10+ years industrial experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience with API 650 above ground, site built, steel tanks.
- Experience in industrial construction methods as currently used in chemical manufacturing facilities.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control methods for common to tank construction.
- Experience overseeing groups of contractors during construction.
- Outdoor work experience, able to wear required PPE and drive safely to jobsite, and to walk and climb at the jobsite as needed to oversee the construction site work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
