Communications Field Technician

McCall-Thomas Engineering Company is seeking a Communications Field Technician to work in the Statesboro or Newington, GA area. Some overnight travel may be required within the SC/Eastern Georgia territory. We will consider mid- level and experienced candidates for this role. Pay rate will depend on experience.

As a McCall-Thomas Communications Field Technician, you will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to each of our clients. This full-time employee will be working primarily on long-term projects for our telecommunications customers within SC and eastern Georgia. The responsibilities for this role include:

- Reading schematics

- Being familiar with RUS (Rural Utility Service) Units and Practices

- Staking of fiber optic buried and aerial cable (hand drawn staking sheets and electronic)

- Inspection of fiber optic construction (buried and aerial)

- Tabulation of staking sheets

What Will You Need:

- Eligibility to work in the US without any sponsorship

- High school diploma or GED

- Strong computer/data entry skills

- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

- Ability to travel/overnight stays may be required
