Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Refrigeration Installer to join our team. This role involves long term travel, and the installation, maintenance, repair of refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, rack systems, brazing, pipefitting, and case setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. We do provide housing when out of state and per diem at a rate of $75 per day.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and train a team of refrigeration helpers and installers
•Perform technical diagnostics of case, rack, skid, walk-in issues as needed
•Be on-call for emergencies at the stores
•Ensure proper time keeping among your crew
•Ensure OSHA and PPE procedures are followed
•Install and set up commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, rack systems, and display cases.
•Perform brazing and pipefitting tasks to ensure proper system functionality.
•Conduct case setting and alignment for optimal performance.
•Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
•Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system issues.
•Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
•Replace faulty components and repair electrical and mechanical parts.
•Handle refrigerants safely and comply with environmental regulations.
•Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience in commercial refrigeration installation and maintenance.
•Proficiency in brazing, pipefitting, and case setting techniques.
•Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical components, and HVAC principles.
•Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
•Ability to read blueprints
•Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
•Certification in refrigeration or HVAC is preferred.
•Understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to refrigerants.
•Ability to lead and grow a team around you
Work Environment: This position may require working in various environments, including commercial kitchens, grocery stores, supermarkets, and warehouses. The role involves handling tools and machinery, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
