Position Overview:
Join BC Hydro's dynamic Transmission Interconnections team this summer and gain hands-on experience in the utility
industry. As a Summer Student, you will support a team of Interconnection Managers, assisting in a variety of tasks that
provide invaluable exposure to project management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. This role offers the
opportunity to enhance your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, while contributing to some of the largest, and
highest-profile projects within BC Hydro.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive project support by assisting in the creation and maintenance of project management files,
- Contribute to the review, updating, and enhancement of content on BC Hydro’s public website, ensuring accuracy and
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve team
- Assist with records information management tasks, including organizing project files, contracts, and regulated documents.
- Develop and maintain document and presentation templates for reports, internal progress updates, customer deliverables,
- Gain valuable industry knowledge and experience in areas such as process improvement, data analysis, stakeholder

- To qualify for a student Co-op opportunity, students must be enrolled in academic studies at a post-secondary institution in

- Currently in your 3rd or 4th year of studies in business administration, project management, engineering, or a related field.
- Preference will be given to applicants studying in the above listed disciplines, though we welcome all candidates who can

- Strong ability to learn quickly, adapt, and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and PowerBI is an asset.

Flexible work model role definitions:
Our four role types identify the degree of flexibility an employee could have to work from home based on the type of work
they do. The flexibility for an individual job is up to the manager for each position and the operational requirements.
Employees also have the right to work full-time from the office if they prefer. All of our roles require at least some in-person
time.
Resident – Works primarily (4+ days per week) in the office.
Hybrid – May be able to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Remote – Works from home 4+ days per week
