CNC Laser Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC operations, particularly with laser cutting technology. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The CNC Laser Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring high-quality production standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

- Operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce parts according to specifications.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.

- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production.

- Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques for assembly and finishing of parts.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines at all times.

- Assist in programming CNC machines as needed, including basic CNC programming tasks.

- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in CNC laser cutting, machining, or related manufacturing processes.

- Familiarity with various CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, lathes, and press brake machines.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely.

- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.

- Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) and plasma cutting is a plus.

- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.

- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.

- Knowledge of quality inspection processes and standards within manufacturing environments.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
