- Perform start up/shut down procedures, upload nested programs
- Identify laser alignment problems and correct them
- Be able to monitor laser while cutting, adjust cut conditions if necessary
- Unload blanks, scrap, and slug material from laser table
- Clean and organize all parts
- Ability to properly use equipment (i.e., caliper, tape measure)
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings (blue prints)
- Ability to understand and follow method layouts and process notes on routings (work order)
- Ability to navigate production reporting
- Ability to use basic hand tools, inspection gauges and related equipment
- Strong math skills
- Competent in interpreting production orders, prints and method layouts
- Familiar with metal finishing techniques and metal finishing equipment
- Able to differentiate materials
- Able to correct poor cut conditions. Analyze cause and effect, and solve or diagnose the problem and offer solutions.

- Previous Laser operating experience required
- Must have a forklift license
