The Closing & Permitting Coordinator is responsible for managing the full spectrum of administrative tasks related to real estate closings and permitting processes. This dual role ensures that all transactions and permits are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The coordinator will work closely with internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth and timely closings and permit approvals.
Key Responsibilities:Closing Coordination:
•Manage real estate transactions from contract to closing.
•Review contracts, title commitments, lender instructions, and closing statements.
•Schedule and confirm closing appointments; coordinate with agents, attorneys, lenders, and clients.
•Track deadlines and ensure compliance with transaction timelines and regulations.
•Resolve issues related to title, funding, or documentation discrepancies.
•Maintain transaction records and update tracking systems.
Permitting Coordination:
•Coordinate the application, tracking, and approval process for permits (e.g., building, zoning, utility, environmental).
•Liaise with municipal and state agencies to ensure timely submission and approval of permits.
•Maintain accurate records of permit statuses, expirations, and renewals.
•Prepare and submit required documentation in compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
•Communicate permit timelines and updates to project teams, clients, and contractors.
•Assist in resolving issues or delays related to permitting.
