Construction Manager/Permitting Specialist

Quanta Utility Engineering Services (QUES) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Construction Management Field Engineer and Permitting Specialist for electric distribution line construction projects. QUES is a contractor for a local electric and gas utility in Montana.

This job will be multi-faceted and will consist of time in the field supporting construction projects (65%) and time in the office (35%) working on permitting tasks and other job related paperwork. Responsibilities will include project management, customer notification, calling in locates, acquiring the necessary permits as identified by the project engineer, identifying access routes to difficult areas as well as laydown yards, coordinating subcontractors, coordinating with the project engineer, specialized equipment rentals, some inspection work and other duties as assigned.

This job will require travel between various project sites around Montana and some overnight stays. A company vehicle will be provided, and relevant travel and hotel expenses will be paid. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record. We anticipate hiring two people for this work and the work will be split between the eastern and western halves of the state. Job location is flexible within Montana.

Employees are expected to work 40 hours per week with the flexibility to work four 10 hour days or five eight hour days per work week.
