Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Dewatering Supervisor at our Carlin operations. The successful candidate liaison and maintain good communications with other members of the Dewatering Department and Mine Superintendent to develop a unified team

- Ensuring water is removed prior to entering the open pit and/or extracting water out of the pit to enable mining to be undertaken.
- Plan and execute a variety of maintenance and project work.
- Operate specific equipment in order to complete tasks.
- Understand dewatering machinery needs with ability to fabricate parts as needed to assure timely start-up/ repairs of equipment.
- Maintain many well field sites within the region and their associated equipment.
- Liaise and maintain good communications with other members of the Dewatering Department and Mine Superintendent to develop a unified team.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental permits.
- Responsible for a safe and clean work environment.
- Manage dewatering crews to complete tasks in safe and efficient manner
- Maintain Pit Pumps
- Maintain Well Fields
- Maintain Dewatering Lines
- Water monitoring
Perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years experience with well fields, pumps, etc. required- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. required
- Taste and smell a change in environment odors required
- Hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms required
- Must be able to withstand exposure to heat and cold required
- Acts in a manner that builds trust and demonstrates integrity required
- Initiative, self-management, self-reliance; a sense of responsibility and ownership towards the job required
- Proven safe work record required
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions required
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
