We’re hiring an experienced Energy Sales Representative to join our call center team. This is an outbound, phone-based energy sales role. You’ll be calling existing customers who need to renew their energy contracts, as well as new business customers in deregulated states, with the goal of closing sales over the phone.
You’ll work closely with our pricing desk to source competitive fixed electricity and natural gas rates and contract terms from the retail suppliers we partner with. Once the best options are identified, you’ll guide customers through the enrollment process, including reviewing contract details and completing electronically signed agreements.
We work honestly and on behalf of our customers. Our focus is on helping businesses lower energy costs and better manage their energy budgets by clearly explaining options and giving customers the information they need to make an informed decision.
This position pays a fixed hourly rate plus bonuses for deals you close, with no cap on earnings. We’re looking for someone with call center and energy sales experience who is comfortable closing over the phone, motivated to earn more, and interested in growing with a team that’s continuing to expand.
- Make a high volume of outbound calls from our call center
- Contact existing customers to renew their energy contracts
- Cold call new business customers in deregulated states
- Work with the pricing team to find the best rates and contract terms
- Present clear pricing and contract options to customers
- Work with internal teams to confirm pricing is accurate and market-based
- Close customers over the phone and guide them through enrollment
- Manage electronically signed contracts
- Close deals and follow through until enrollment is complete
- Prior energy sales experience
- Call center sales experience
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls
- Cold calling experience
- Proven ability to close deals over the phone
- Experience selling electricity and/or natural gas in deregulated markets
- Comfortable reviewing contracts and guiding customers through electronic signatures
- Clear, professional phone communication skills
- Motivated and energetic sales person
