BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development / Outside Sales Representative to drive revenue growth through managing and expanding existing client relationships, securing new business with current clients, and prospecting for new clients. A significant portion of this role focuses on serving and building new business opportunities with our established client base, while also pursuing additional prospects to grow our market share. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills, a passion for safety, and a proven track record in B2B sales.
Responsibilities•Manage and Grow Existing Client Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for existing clients, nurturing long-term partnerships by understanding their evolving needs and identifying opportunities to provide additional FR apparel and safety solutions.
•Develop New Business with Current Clients: Proactively engage with existing clients to uncover and secure new business opportunities, such as expanding product offerings or outfitting additional teams, to maximize revenue from established accounts.
•Prospect and Generate New Leads: Identify and target new business opportunities in industries such as oil, gas, utilities, and construction through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and referrals to complement growth from existing clients.
•Conduct Needs Assessments: Collaborate with both existing and prospective clients to understand their safety apparel requirements, providing expert recommendations on FR clothing and related products that meet OSHA and industry standards.
•Develop Proposals and Close Deals: Create compelling sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth across both existing and new accounts.
•Market Expansion: Identify opportunities to expand company’s presence in new markets, including potential strategic partnerships or alliances with industry players.
•Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and advancements in FR apparel technology to position company as a market leader.
•Collaborate Internally: Work closely with the sales, product, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and exceptional client experiences.
•Track and Report Performance: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions in CRM software, providing regular reports to management.
Required Qualifications
•Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in outside sales, industrial products, or safety apparel. Experience in the oil, gas, or utilities sectors is a plus.
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
•Proven ability to generate leads, close sales, and meet or exceed revenue targets.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building trust with existing clients.
•Strong project management and organizational abilities to manage a sales pipeline effectively.
•Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Knowledge of OSHA regulations and FR apparel standards is highly desirable.
•Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Comfortable with frequent travel and fieldwork, including visits to remote industrial sites.
•Passion for workplace safety and delivering value to clients.

•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
•Ability to travel regularly within Alaska and occasionally to the U.S. or Canada.
•Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for client meetings or trade shows.
