Job Title – Business Development Manager III


Department – International

Reports to – Director Business Development Intl


Location – Houston (Chasewood)


Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new client contacts. Work closely with Business Development Manager and Sr Account Manager with new and prospective clients and/or following up from Business Development Manager account hand overs. Identify market opportunities while working closely with the technical teams and operations to grow profitable revenue for the company. The incumbent will find success adhering to the NCS sales process including but not limited to; prospecting for initial contact, quoting, job planning, job execution and post-job maintenance.


Key areas of responsibility

Establish key contacts among potential clients, keeps abreast of development plans of existing clients, and has a very good understanding of contract terms and provisions
Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity
Maintain and develop existing and new global customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
Plan/carry out/support global marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising and exhibitions
Job tasks require frequent interchange and completion of job tasks depend in large part upon effective interaction with others
Respond to and follow up sales inquiries using appropriate methods
Monitor and report on global market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
Establish, maintain a relationship with NCS’s management team, provide customer feedback and potential service job complete with timing
Prepare tender and bids for global clients
Assist with operational duties depending on local country activity level
Support country managers in technical reviews and project analysis
Help with request and tracking global tracer inventory
Present technical presentations and write and publish technical papers
Continuous training for product and procedural knowledge
Support our HS&E program
Abide by and follow the NCS Promise


Qualifications

BS degree in related field and / or 10+ years of related industry experience. Oilfield tracer technology and / or completion tool knowledge is required (Sales Engineer requires BS degree in Engineering)

Ability to communicate effectively with client representatives and NCS management
Comfortable with large groups and public speaking (effective presentation, and negotiating skills)
Technical working knowledge of NCS HSE program, products and procedures (will train if needed)


Additional Information

FLSA Status: Exempt
Position is based in Houston, 24/7 customer call
International travel will be required
Will be required to attend jobs on customer locations at times

Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and written instructions
Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on short/long term basis

This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary
