Concept Tanks design and build the largest relocatable water storage tanks in the world. Originally founded in Australia in 2009, Concept Tanks have been widely used across the Oil & Gas, Mining, Waste and Industrial sectors for their cost effective and environmentally sustainable benefits. After over 15 years of operations and hundreds of successful installations, Concept Tanks have recently expanded into the United States with a focus on providing the next evolution in produced water containment for the Oil & Gas industry.
Concept Tanks is excited to open this opportunity for a Business Development Manager, to be a part of start-up team to deliver this unique product into a new market.
Experience in onshore Oil & Gas or Water Midstream is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
•End-to-End ownership of new business opportunities from conception through to contract execution and handover, according to the business’ sales processes.
•Building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities for Concept Tanks in the United States. This includes proactively hunting for new potential clients through cold calling, networking, and other means.
•Achieve revenue and margin targets developed and agreed by Concept Tanks’ leadership and yourself for agreed opportunities.
•Foster and develop long term business relationships with Concept Tanks clients.
•Ownership of agreed sector strategies and plans, implementing these to achieve revenue targets and maximize growth opportunities. This involves working closely with internal teams to ensure that the strategies are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
•Understand all deliverables [including technical] required in preparation of tender and pricing documents and timely delivery of these documents and proposals to clients.
•Undertake regular in person sales calls as well as joint sales calls with the Country Manager, or other Concept Tanks team members.
•Attend Industry events, trade shows, networking events and conferences as required.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients through regular communication and follow-up.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (business and/or engineering preferred, not essential)
•5 years' prior industry related business development experience
Knowledge / Experience:
•Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in the Water Midstream sector.
•Excellent interpersonal skills, which reflect the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff, clients, suppliers and industry associations.
•Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to compile correspondence, undertake research, and prepare reports and spreadsheets
•Well-developed visual communication skills and the ability to effectively convey the desired messages through visual communication.
•Proven ability to effectively build a pipeline of opportunities and convert these to orders
•Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects / initiatives simultaneously
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
•Demonstrated ability to use initiative to work autonomously or within a team environment to achieve successful project outcomes
