Business Development Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and drive growth within the construction, sewer maintenance, and rehabilitation services industry. The ideal candidate will have B2B sales experience and a background in construction or related services, with a strong understanding of how to engage directly with clients in the field.
This role involves regularly visiting job sites, cold calling, networking, and building a strong pipeline of customers while increasing awareness of the company’s full range of service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
•Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach, site visits, cold calls, networking, and referrals.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to support account growth and retention.
•Prepare and execute weekly and monthly sales plans and forecasts to meet or exceed targets.
•Develop customized client solutions utilizing the company’s portfolio of services.
•Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activity, and pipeline updates.
•Prepare and submit written quotes and proposals in a timely and accurate manner.
•Represent the company at industry trade shows, networking events, and other relevant functions.
•Travel locally to customer sites and job locations as part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
•Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, client needs, and competitor activity.
Requirements:
•3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in construction, industrial, or environmental services.
•Proven success in prospecting, negotiating, and closing new business.
•Strong customer focus with the ability to identify and solve client challenges.
•Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
•Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic schedule.
•Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
•Valid Class C driver’s license and active DOT Medical Card.
•Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
Schedule:
•Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
•Must be available to receive customer calls on a 24/7 basis as needed
