We are looking for a hands-on Branch Manager to lead our Edmonton team! This role focuses on managing the day-to-day operations, supporting our people, delivering great solutions to our customers, and helping the business grow. The ideal candidate has a well-rounded understanding of business, thrives leading a team, and creates a positive, efficient, and safe work environment. This individual must drive both profitability and a positive team culture while ensuring excellent customer service.
Cool Air Rentals has been a leading supplier of temporary air conditioning and heating equipment since 1995. Our purpose-built equipment is designed to roll in, plug in, and turn on. We support a diverse range of customers, which include commercial and industrial facilities, construction, healthcare, and collaborating with Mechanical Contractors. · Leadership: You motivate, inspire, and guide the team toward achieving goals and fostering a positive work environment.
· Communication: Clear and effective communication to set expectations, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts.
· Financial Acumen: Collaborating with Senior Management in building the Branch budget, understanding and managing the Profit & Loss statement, and ensure the branch's profitability.
· Performance Management: Driving and improving team performance through coaching, development, and tracking key metrics.
· Customer Service: A commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to resolve issues for our diverse client base.
· Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and employees.
· Sales and Negotiation: Experience in outside sales or the ability to negotiate effectively is beneficial for driving rental revenue.
· HVAC Knowledge: A thorough understanding of HVAC equipment, terminology, and related rental products is considered an asset, but not required.
· Operational Proficiency: Fundamental understanding of branch operations, from inventory management to logistical coordination.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges related to operations, equipment, or customer needs.
· Organization & Time Management: The ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain order in a fast-paced environment.
· 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in operations or sales.
· Solid grasp of P&L management and branch operations.
· Comfortable working with technical information and explaining it clearly.
· Able to foster open communication within the team and organization.
· A team player who uses sound judgement to make decisions.
· A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Energetic and comfortable leading in a dynamic environment.
· Enjoys solving problems and getting things done.
