Reports To: Vice President of Operations, West

Employment Type: Full-Time

Annual Salary Range: $80k to $90k / Year (commensurate with experience)

Quarterly Bonuses: Up to 10% of base salary, based on individual and branch-level performance

Profit Share: Annual Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) distributions, based on overall company performance. Eligible after 1-year qualification period.

Job Summary

Coated Metals Group (CMG), an employee-owned company, is a leading manufacturer of architectural sheet metal building products. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to lead our distribution facility in Belgrade, MT. The Branch Manager will work closely with the Sales Territory Manager to lead all aspects of branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory and Facility Management:

- Maintain adequate stock levels by placing orders and managing inventory efficiently.

- Oversee maintenance of the branch facility building, grounds, equipment, and company vehicles, ensuring optimal operation and security.

- Ensure the branch remains compliant with all safety and environmental regulations.

Operational Management:

- Oversee scheduling, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring all activities align with CMG’s standards and procedures.

- Optimize the office and warehouse layout for maximum efficiency in equipment use, material handling, and shipping operations.

- Coordinate with other CMG branches to ensure the continued and timely flow of material transfers and deliveries.

Financial Management:

- Monitor and manage the branch’s inventory control, including on-hand balance adjustments, stock location maintenance, returns, and yearly physical inventory.

- Handle daily bank deposits and manage all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Staff Management and Development:

- Manage branch staff of approximately five employees, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

- Foster a positive and productive work environment, setting performance expectations and conducting regular reviews.

Customer Relationship Management:

- Work closely with the sales team to deliver consistent and responsive service to customers.

- Build and maintain strong relationships, addressing and resolving any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred

- Equivalent work experience, particularly in a leadership role within a similar operational environment, may be considered.

Experience:

- Minimum of 5-years of experience in operational and facilities management, particularly within the building materials industry.

- Experience operating a forklift, with certification preferred.

Technology Skills:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and a Windows

- Familiarity with inventory management systems and data entry.

Leadership Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal teams and external customers.

- Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure.

Other Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

- Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred).

- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Physical Requirements:

- Standing, walking, and moving around the facility for extended periods.

- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., warehouse, office, outdoors).
