Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Western Explosives Systems Company - WESCO is a full-service drill and blast company. This is hard, physical, and fast paced work. Employees will be working with explosives products.

Position: Assistant to blaster.

Qualifications:

-Pass a background check with no felonies.

-Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

-Valid driver’s license.

-Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

-Ability to competently complete inventory records and daily inspections.

-Reliable, responsible, and ready to learn.

Job Description:

-Load and unload explosives products and equipment.

-Maintain magazine and customer sites.

-Operate trucks, skid steers and other required equipment.

-Assist blaster in loading, tying in and stemming of holes.

-Perform work in accordance with all safety regulations.

-Proactively seek knowledge of products and blasting practices.

We work a fluctuating schedule around the state of Arizona. We work Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday. We start early in the morning. We meet at our yard or a designated area and ride in a company truck from there. Must have reliable transportation and be punctual. Safety is a top priority for us. We work on mine sites and rock quarries. We follow all MSHA regulations. MSHA training will be provided.

Working Environment: Must be able to work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions of temperature and climate. Must wear personal protective equipment when required.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, start times vary, occasional Saturday

Pay: $22.00/hour
