Blaster

Position Summary: Position that sandblasts and assist painters with duties in the paint shop

Job Description:

- Operates cleaning equipment and prepares equipment for painting

- Determines strength and pattern of blast require

- Assembles primer and places primer with main charge in hole or near object to be blasted

- Assists with paint compliance logs

- Verify paint thickness and blast anchor patterns

- Ability to be certified to drive a forklift

- Follows all relevant HSE guidelines

- Promotes and supports safety, production, and a positive attitude

- Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department

Required Test:

- None

Preferred Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent preferred and/or training

- Minimum one (1) years industrial experience

Physical Strain:

- Bending, squatting, climbing, pulling, stooping, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights

- Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 30 pounds

- Must comply with all OSHA regulations regarding paint safety procedures

- Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures or in a shop environment
