This position works under the direct supervision of the Pilot on tour and the Director of Aviation. The Aviation Fuel Truck Operator/Aerial Saw Mechanic is responsible to perform saw and vehicle repairs and maintenance work in accordance with industry and safety standards, run diagnostics, and troubleshoot to perform repairs while working closely with team members to meet company goals. This position does require the ability to travel and will work on a rotation of 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off.
2) Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment and analyzing results.
4) Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment, as necessary.
7) Repair or replace broken Aerial saw or related parts.
8) Inspect Aerial Saw for any component defects, breakouts, fluid leakages, etc.
9) Assemble and disassemble various components during repairs and maintenance.
10) Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, or adjustment of various components.
11) Use gauges and diagnostic tests to detect malfunctions.
13) Adjust, align, and calibrate equipment using hand tools, gauges, etc.
14) Perform oil changes, battery service, and other related servicing tasks.
15) Ensure compliance with company and safety standards.
16) Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment interiors and exteriors.
17) Inspect Aerial saw engine for cracks and/or leaks.
18) Perform compliance with reasonable environmental, health and safety regulations.
19) Operate support equipment that is used in removal and installations of major Aerial Saw components.
21) Immediately report damaged or faulty equipment to management.
25) Perform tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
26) Understand and apply guidelines from manuals and blueprints.
27) Represent the Company in an ethical and proper manner.
28) Perform all duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision by consistently showing ability to recognize and deal with priorities.
29) Recognize and perform duties which need to be completed although not directly assigned.
30) Work well, and maintain cooperative working relationships, with the managers, employees, vendors, suppliers, and customers
31) Place, remove, and/or maintain items within a worksite.
32) Secure worksite, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials.
33) Monitor, inspect, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal operation. Identify and address problems or defects.
34) Keep worksite clean and organized; free from unnecessary hazards.
35) Consistently show ability to recognize and deal with multiple priorities; Demonstrate ability to tactfully handle stressful or difficult situations.
36) Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and within policy guidelines.
37) Be dependable, report to work on time, and provide proper notification of whereabouts when absence from work is unavoidable.
38) Follow all policy and procedures with strict attention to safety, per company standards.
39) Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
40) Perform all other duties as requested or assigned and as business operations and conditions require.
- Experience with small engine repair and troubleshooting required
- Valid driver’s license required
