The Associate, Developer Relations – Spec-Break Team is responsible for generating downstream demand by securing product demonstrations with developers and general contractors and ensuring those opportunities convert into active projects and booked orders.
This role supports the in-field sales operative by identifying targets, booking in-person product demos, and managing all follow-up activity. Once demos occur, the Associate is responsible for creating projects in the CRM and actively chasing them through the sales funnel to order stage.
The position is highly execution-focused and plays a key role in breaking specifications, influencing product selection, and driving near-term revenue.
- Proactively identify and engage with developers and general contractors across assigned markets
- Book and coordinate in-field product demonstrations for the external sales operative
- Support demo preparation and follow-up to maximize conversion into active projects by providing clear notes (pre-meeting) of opportunities, new contacts, and clear outcomes required from meetings booked.
- Create, maintain and chase projects in CRM following demos and customer interactions
- Actively chase projects from demo stage through pricing, approval, and order placement
- Maintain detailed CRM records including contacts, meeting notes, project updates, and next steps
- Coordinate closely with the Spec Team on overlapping projects and intelligence
- Ensure opportunities move efficiently from demo to execution-ready order
- Daily hunting for new contacts in Key Accounts for telemarketing blitz- 2–5+ years of experience in construction sales, developer relations, project based B2B selling.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable communicating with contractors, developers and construction consultants
- Ruthless, Relentless and Forensic at follow up

- Detail-oriented with strong CRM administrative discipline
- CRM experience required (project tracking and activity logging)
- Familiarity with architectural workflows and specifications is a plus
- Believes in outbound calling and that activity drives results
- High volume of quality product demos booked and completed
- Consistent creation of new projects following demos
- Strong conversion of demos into active pursuits and orders
- Clean, accurate CRM data supporting forecasting and sales strategy
- Efficient support that allows in-field operatives to focus on closing and relationships
- 30 Outbound Calls a day

- Orders In - $1.28m
- Base Salary: $50,000 – $70,000
- Bonus/Commission: $10,000 – $60,000
- OTE: $60,000 – $100,000
