Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Plumber (3rd or 4th year) to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to pursue a rewarding career in plumbing. The Apprentice Plumber will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers, assisting with various plumbing tasks and gaining hands-on experience in the field. The ideal candidate should possess a strong willingness to learn, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and have basic knowledge of plumbing systems.
- Assist licensed plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems.
- Learn to read blueprints and technical drawings to understand plumbing layouts.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Help with the assembly and installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in welding tasks as needed for pipe connections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols while on job sites.
- Basic understanding of plumbing principles is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in plumbing work.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic plumbing issues.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating pipe lengths and fittings.
- Experience reading blueprints is a plus but not mandatory.
- A strong desire to learn and grow within the plumbing trade.
