ELR is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable AP Administrative Assistant to join its administrative team in Puyallup, Washington. This role is ideal for someone interested in developing their accounting skills while supporting essential administrative and accounts payable functions.
Responsibilities
•Collect and distribute daily mail for the office
•Handle branch purchasing and supply orders
•Prepare and mail weekly checks, customer statements, and packages
•Serve as the front desk receptionist, greeting and assisting office visitors
•Assist with special projects as assigned by the administrative team
•Monitor and manage the accounts payable (AP) email inbox, including printing invoices, filing emails, responding to vendor inquiries, and forwarding messages as needed
•Accurately enter and code vendor invoices into QuickBooks
•Verify purchase orders and reconcile vendor invoices and statements
•Support the AP Supervisor with month-end and year-end closing processes
Qualifications
•Associate’s degree and general office experience required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education
•Two years of accounting experience preferred
•Strong understanding of accrual basis accounting required
•Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
•Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard office software
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and vendors
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
•Effective critical thinking and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
