Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supervisor, Information Technology (IT), you will be part of the Technology & BI Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Design and put in place solutions to resolve technical and global issues.
- Develop, Design and Follow standard department procedures.
- Propose and design technical improvement solutions for the department.
- Maintain documentation and network diagrams.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
- Research questions using available information resources.
- Propose technical orientation for the department.
- Manage and coordinate IT projects.
- Support IT Technicians and OT Specialists.
- Advise his supervisor on appropriate action and decision.
- Ensure network security on the different infrastructure of the site.
- Excellent ability to identify problems and propose solutions based on different factors:
- Timeliness;
- Durability;
- Mastery knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office Suites;
- Mastery knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory;
- Excellent knowledge of Network Routers, Switches and VoIP Call Manager, Firewalls and Network Accelerators;
- Excellent knowledge of VMWare Products;
- Excellent knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN);
- Excellent knowledge of Satellite System installation (Mainly GEO and LEO satellite solutions);
- Good knowledge of RF system (VHF Radio, Repeaters, Filtration, Microwave Design);
- Good engineering knowledge of RF Link Budget Calculations;
- Good knowledge of QoS Concept, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be and IEEE 802.1X;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office 365 products.
Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Hybrid schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at one of our offices in Mirabel or Val d’Or, QC with a minimum of 3 days per week at the office;
- Frequent visits to mining sites in Nunavut are also required on 7/7 or 14/14 schedule:
- 7 days of work, followed by 7 days for transportation and rest or 14 days of work, followed by 14 days transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
