We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT advisor to join our team supporting Drilling, Completions, and Well Servicing (D&C) disciplines. This role will focus on providing advanced technical support and managing cloud infrastructure within the AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise IT support, cloud architecture, and Oil & Gas operational systems.

Core Responsibilities

- Provide Tier 3 technical support for enterprise IT systems, applications, and infrastructure for multiple business units within the Drilling, Completions, and Well Servicing (D&C) disciplines.

- Manage and optimize AWS cloud resources for D&C developed applications.

- Design and implement cloud-based solutions to support field operations, data acquisition, and real-time analytics.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT systems align with business needs.

- Monitor system performance and security, applying patches and updates as needed.

- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for critical IT issues in both cloud and on-prem environments.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal cybersecurity policies.

- Mentor junior IT staff and provide guidance on cloud best practices and troubleshooting techniques.

- Document procedures, configurations, and support workflows for knowledge sharing and continuity.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management (MIS) or related field (Master’s preferred).

- 5+ years of IT support experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, architecture, and security best practices.

- Proficiency in scripting and automation (SQL, Python, PowerShell, etc.).

- Knowledge of networking protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud connectivity.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, especially in high-pressure operational environments.

- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).

- Ability to travel occasionally to field sites or offshore locations, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional or equivalent.

- 2+ years of experience developing applications in AWS.

- Experience supporting Oil & Gas applications (e.g. OpenWells) is highly desirable.

- ITIL v4 certification.
